Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services, working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. The Grant Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of the organization’s portfolio of public and private grant funding and service-based contracts. This includes monitoring deadlines, ensuring compliance, and fulfilling reporting requirements across all funding sources. In this role, the Grant Manager will play a key part in identifying new grant and contracting opportunities, preparing and submitting applications, and supporting strategic planning for the allocation and use of awarded funds. They will collaborate closely with staff across multiple departments to assess organizational needs and align them with available funding opportunities.

The Grant Manager ensures compliance with all grant requirements across a diverse range of external funding streams, including but not limited to federal, state, and local entities such as SAMHSA, OMHAS, HUD, HHS, CMS, ODM, and HRSA.

The pay range for this position is $58,500.00-$70,722.16 annually based on experience, education, and/or licensure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the thorough analysis of grant opportunities and identify suitable prospects for the agency’s programs.
  • Oversee the grant writing process to ensure high-quality submissions, including coordinating inputs from various departments.
  • Oversee the recording and tracking of grant applications, deadlines, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees grant reporting to funders and internal reporting to ensure grant compliance and stewardship of funds.
  • Oversee the development & maintenance of the grant/fund tracking system from request for funding through close-out.
  • Lead working sessions with operations and administrative support in the development of program narratives and associated budgets and subsequent reporting needs.
  • In collaboration with the Corporate Controller and the Finance Manager, ensure all external audits/financial filings are completed per the terms of funding requirements.
  • Assist as needed in financial analysis.
  • Educate teams on grant compliance items as applicable.
  • Serve as an administrator for external reporting portals such as Grants.gov., OCEAN, SAM.gov., etc.
  • Evaluate and address corrective action goals as appropriate for program performance relative to budgeted/anticipated performance.
  • Review expenditures to ensure compliance and work with operations and finance to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Perform periodic audits as deemed necessary by evaluation of programmatic risk.
  • Participate in NGMA.
  • Support the Director of External Affairs and the Director of Advancement in funder/partner engagement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, social sciences, or a related field.

Grant Management:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant management, grant writing, and compliance.
  • Experience in carrying out high-quality grant submissions, including coordinating inputs from multiple departments and managing grant application processes.
  • Familiarity with tracking and reporting requirements across various funding streams and the ability to ensure compliance with grant obligations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail, to evaluate grant opportunities and assess programmatic risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with internal teams.
  • Proficiency in grant management software and federal/state reporting systems, as well as experience with external reporting portals.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of funding processes from government entities
  • Knowledge of fiscal management principles, compliance requirements, risk assessment, and audit processes related to grant funding.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, community health, or housing programs (preferred).

Additional Requirements:

  • This position requires occasional travel across 24 southeastern and central Ohio counties to engage with funders and team members.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends may be required to accommodate pressing deadlines (infrequent).
