Managing Director, Human Resources

We are seeking a Managing Director, Human Resources!

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to the resources they need. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services – working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. All of our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.

The Managing Director, Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing human resource management functions in support of the overall business needs and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and leadership development, employee relations, benefits and compensation.

The salary range for this position is $93,884.21 to $110,000.32 per year, based on experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and implement human resources plans and strategies that align with and support the achievement of ISBH goals and strategic objectives.
  • Leads and provide oversight of human resource functions by guiding talent acquisition, employee relations, learning and development, payroll and benefits team members.
  • Monitors and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS), talent and learning management systems and other resources.
  • Partners with Leadership Team and managers to provide human resource support for organizational business needs.
  • Examines and develops personnel policies procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain talent.
  • Collaboratively develops strategies to align people, processes, and work-related systems in order to achieve meaningful levels of job satisfaction and retention for employees.
  • Provides expertise and counsel on staffing strategies and acquisition of key talent.
  • Directs and oversees the execution of the organization’s training, development, recognition, and succession programs, aligning them to strategic priorities and bridging training gaps.
  • Identifies and monitors top talent to support growth initiatives for the organization.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees employee wellness and safety programs.
  • Ensures effective management of the people resources within ISBH, including but not limited to: employee relations, discrimination, harassment, employee ADA accommodation, and investigatory processes.
  • Oversees resolution of allegations and complaints; helps ensure processes are timely and disciplinary actions are implemented in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Represent and serve as a liaison to employee groups, administrative councils and committees as assigned.
  • Manages Workers Compensation and unemployment claims and processes.
  • Ensures ongoing communication with Executive Team, legal, and others regarding recruitment, employee relations, employment services, and reward/recognition system.
  • Manages the operational budget and other financial measures of the human resources department.
  • Participates in special projects and initiatives as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, organizational development, business administration, or related field required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • At least 6 years of diverse HR Generalist experience with in-depth experience in multiple human resource technical areas.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of human resources functions, laws, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation and unemployment processes required.
  • Knowledge of strategic relationship building and conflict resolution are required.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
  • Must be able to use database and word processing software.
  • Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
