We are seeking a Residential Behavioral Health Lead (1st Shift)!

Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. The Residential Behavioral Health Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Mary Hill Youth and Family Center. This role ensures a safe, clean, and well-supplied environment while supervising and supporting the staff. The position also involves coordinating care team meetings, onboarding and training staff, addressing scheduling issues, and supporting residents through activities and family engagement. Acting as the primary contact for emergencies, the Lead ensures safety and quality care for residents while fostering effective communication with families and clinical teams.

The pay range for this position is $20.60 - $24.14 per hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the lead behavioral health staff member during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, efficient operations, adequate coverage, and compliance with program expectations
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and informal coaching to residential behavioral health staff through delegation, supervision, modeling best practices, and assisting with onboarding and training.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff, supervisors, and team members regarding resident needs, incidents, and operational concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment by monitoring resident behavior, supporting staff during challenging situations, utilizing de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques, and serving as the primary contact for emergencies during assigned shift.
  • Ensure daily schedules, therapeutic programming, life-skills activities, groups, community outings, and special events are implemented, collaborating with clinical staff and other team members as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required shift responsibilities, including safety checks, shift exchange documentation, staffing assignments, incident reports, and electronic health record documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, supervision, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Transport residents for day trips and outings in the community when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Education/ Licensure:

  • A high school diploma or GED is equivalent is required
  • A bachelor’s degree in healthcare, behavioral health or related field is preferred
  • Crisis intervention certification (NCI) or ability to obtain is required
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain is required
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain is required

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in healthcare, behavioral health or a related field is required
  • Supervisory experience in healthcare, behavioral health or a related field is preferred
  • Experience with multi-need individuals and families is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge of community service systems required
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written is required
  • Excellent organizational skills are required
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and ability to safely participate in approved physical interventions when necessary
  • Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions is required
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required
  • An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required
  • Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required
  • Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required
  • Ability to maintain high-speed internet connection is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times is required
  • Ability to bend, twist, hinge, squat/kneel, reach above shoulder
  • Ability to hand use: grasping, gripping, turning
